We had researched photographers for a long time. Nick met with us prior to booking to show us portfolios, answer our many questions and just generally put our mind at ease. Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of the camera but Nick allowed us to both feel very relaxed. He prompted us when needed for our individual couple photos, as requested, but otherwise quite often we forgot he was there, and it's these moments he's caught on camera that are so special. We spent the whole day smiling and the photos reflect the day's joy. It was important to us to work with someone who had been at our venue - The Pilgrims Rest - before as it is quite a dark venue and lighting could be an issue. Every single photo (of the hundreds we have) is stunning and the Autumnal colours really pop. Our evening ones of our first dance and the party afterwards are brilliant, too. Exactly what we wanted and the perfect mix of detailed shots, natural photos and more traditional poses that we'd asked for. Not only is NDavies one of the most affordable but simply the best. We both highly recommend.
Nick was amazing from the moment we contacted him, throughout the whole process, and I can't thank him enough. He put me at ease from the moment he arrived, he was on hand to help if needed, and really engaged with my 2yo niece in the get ready room. When we got our photos back, it's like reliving the day, he really captured everything. Many guests were telling me how lovely he was. It was like having a friend with us at the wedding day, which made it more natural I believe. Nick was absolutely incredible! My husband & I are not so confident in front of the camera but Nick guided us every step of the way, from the initial pre wedding shoot to the big day, he set us at ease. We wanted natural and as people were images from the day of our guests rather than the formal line up saga and Nick was more than happy to accommodate. We were looking for a photographer for our wedding, and I wasn't sure who to pick, I didn't want to just randomly select someone, I knew of people that went with Nick for their wedding and heard nothing but good things, we also wanted a family photographer who was good with young children (he was amazing)!

Nick had captured a few of my friends’ weddings and we’d seen some of their incredible photos. So, when my now husband proposed, I knew Nick would be perfect for us!
Nick came and captured our day on 22nd February 2022, which ended up being a much smaller and more relaxed affair than we had originally planned. We had changed our plans mid-2021 so that we would have an informal drinks/buffet reception at our favourite local.
From booking through to the end, Nick has been so friendly and approachable. He has been so easy to reach, has always offered his wedding expertise (we had no idea what photos to ask for!) and has the most relaxed vibe. Nick’s presence at our wedding was so natural and he blended so well into the day that most of our guests didn’t know when he was taking photos of them! He was so light on his feet and our guests have not stopped talking about how much they enjoyed having him as our photographer.
Nick has been kind enough to send us a couple of sneak peaks, which are unbelievable! His talent and eye for detail is crazy, and we can’t wait to see the rest! We’ll be using Nick for all things photographic for years to come.

Nick was recommended to us by both a work colleague and a family friend, and has since photographed two of our family weddings! This means we’ve seen four galleries from Nick - two sets of engagement photos and the two weddings - and every time the photos have absolutely blown us away. Nick is incredibly passionate about what he does, yet he does it in such a natural way that you also feel relaxed and trust in him totally. Our wedding photos are like nothing we’ve ever seen - we can’t stop looking at them!

We recently had Nick photograph our wedding day and first of alI have to say that Nick totally understood what we wanted him to capture on the day and the photos we got back were fantastic with some really magical moments that he had managed to capture. On top of that Nick was a pleasure to work with, very friendly with our guests and more than happy to do anything he could to capture our special day. Not only was Nick extremely professional he was unobtrusive when needed and gave positive guidance whenever he needed to. If you want to hire a photographer that is prepared to be a part of your special day and not just treat it as a job then give Nick a call as I am sure you won't regret it.
Nick is amazing! We don’t love being in front of the camera so the thought of exactly that on our wedding day was filling us with dread. Nick made all of that go away. Firstly, he is incredibly friendly - he chats to you, makes you feel at ease and distracts you to get those excellent shots. Secondly, he practices with you - we had a test shoot which made everything so much easier on the day itself.
Nick is a very skilled photographer - he has creative vision and so many of the shots are beautiful and original. He also got the shots we wanted (a replica shot of my nana’s wedding day, a golden hour shot) - he really listened and made sure, on the day, that we actually got the shots we wanted (it’s easy to forget as a bride with a million other things going on!).
He is flexible (stayed late on our wedding at last minute as we wanted more shots!), kind (was merrily chatting to our guests and making people feel at ease), worked well with the videographer and genuinely was a joy to be around.
We cannot recommend Nick highly enough - we hope he will feature at all of our family events going forward. Book him - you wouldn’t be disappointed.
Nick photographed my micro wedding in August and was an absolute pleasure. We had originally booked Nick for our wedding in July, but then cancelled due to covid, and then decided within 4 weeks to just go for it. Nick was our photographer for our wedding in July. We also took the opportunity for a “pre-shoot” which was invaluable for us, as it allowed Nick to find out a bit more about us and our likes/dislikes when it comes to photos. He was an absolute pleasure to have at our wedding and felt like one of the guests. His unobtrusive approach to his work made it feel like he almost wasn’t there, in a good way, allowing him to capture natural shots. Nick and Ria from NDavies Photography were simply amazing photographers for our big day. Excellent communication in the run up to the event with a fun (and hilariously memorable) practice shoot to familiarize himself with us in front of the camera. On the day both Nick and Ria seemed to be ever present from the moment we started getting ready, but never obtrusively so, and although they did take all the staged photos we requested, it's definitely their more candid photos where they captured all the moments of laughter on our big day that made us love all our wedding photos. We were very lucky to have them with us, always there to get the dress just right or to hold a glass of bubbly (or a burger) if it was in our hands! We would 100% recommend them to anyone, excellent service, quick turn around, and simply lovely to be around.
Nick is amazing, he covered my wedding in May 2019. I spent ages searching Facebook for the perfect photographer - when I came across Nick's page - one photo in particular grabbed me and from there I took the time to look through the other photos. From that moment I knew I had found my photographer.

We had Nick and Ria join us on our wedding day in the beautiful South West of France on July 3rd 2018 and they were INCREDIBLE. This was Nicks first destination wedding and from the get go he was amazing, quick at contacting, friendly, approachable and even better excited for us, which made planning so much more enjoyable for us knowing we had awesome suppliers behind us! We had our pre-engagement shoot in April, it was chilled, laid back and lovely for us all to get to know each other a bit better ahead of the day. I thought the photos from this were amazing but we were floored by our wedding photos!!
They simply capture the day from start to finish perfectly and far exceeded our expectations. Both Nick and Ria worked tirelessly in over 30 degree heat to ensure they caught all the magical moments and the hard work certainly paid off! Nick was our wedding photographer and we really couldn't have been happier.
