We take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone
A philosophy by which I work. Capturing those moments that you want to cherish forever.

My name is Nick Davies and I am a wedding and family photographer based in East Sussex and the surrounding area. I am married with two young boys and a ginormous labrador who take up any time I have when I am not working. I have not always been a photographer - I spent 16 years running a car body shop but in 2016 my love for photography took a turn when a friend asked me to be not only best man to his wedding but his photographer too! Quite a challenge to start the turn to a new career and it has escalated into something I could only ever have imagined.

Capturing natural and relaxed photos, telling the story as your day unfolds. Helping you feel at ease whilst the camera is around so that I catch the real you and your family. With my two children around I am very used to working with (sometimes difficult!) children. Occasionally my wife will be my assistant on a wedding with large numbers. She is great with children and also has a good eye (and loves a good wedding!).

Please feel free to send me an enquiry and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Wedding Photography

Whether your wedding is a grand affair or small and intimate it is your special day. At NDavies Photography we think it's not just about the big moments of your day - the small moments are just as important. They’re the bits that you may have missed when you’re too busy talking to your guests. They’re the little details that you’ve spent months planning. And I want to capture them for you.

I offer a pre-wedding/engagement shoot with every wedding I book which gives you a chance to meet and work with me before the big day. Your comfort and enjoyment of the day are of the utmost importance and this will show through in your images.

You create the perfect moment and I capture it forever.

Family Photography

For me, nothing beats the images you capture on a natural wilderness shoot. These are the shots when you and your family are at your best. They are relaxed and candid. Whether it's an exploration through the autumn leaves or soaking up some springtime sun in the bluebell wood there is something to suit your needs.

What They Are Saying...

Nick was our wedding photographer this April. We are both pretty awkward people but he managed to make us feel so relaxed and got a brilliant mix of 'traditional' wedding photos and photos that showed the laughter and joy in our day!!We are so happy with our photos and the personal service we received and could not recommend Nick any higher as a photographer!!

P.S. Gareth says he will definitely use you for his next wedding!
Jennie and Gareth - April 2018
Amazingly relaxed photo shoot. Nick was incredibly patient, particularly with my stubborn 4 year old and really captured my boys at their best. Memories to treasure – I can’t wait to get some printed on canvas. I would highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for beautiful, natural family photos.
Mel – February 2017
We booked Nick for our wedding day and from the moment we met him we were so glad we did. Nick was extremely approachable and ensured he tailored our day to what was most important to us. Nick was also so quick to respond on the run up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding all of our wedding guests said how lovely he was and made us feel at ease throughout. The photos that he took are amazing as well as adding a few personal touches. We honestly could not have asked for anything more. Nick is very highly recommended.
