Lizzie and Dan's wedding took place on a bright and sunny day at Wadhurst Castle. I met with Lizzie, together with her three bridesmaids and both mums, in the bridal suit of the castle on the morning of the wedding where everyone was so relaxed and happy and they exchanged gifts, cards and scrap books which started the excitement of the day. Lizzie knew her make up artist, Natalie Clifton-Holt, having worked with her previously which meant the morning was a little more personal and fun. Each of the bridesmaids had personalised gowns and the bubbly was flowing. Lizzie wore a dress which was tailor made for her by Elizabeth King Designs as she had quite specific requirements.

Dan and his groomsmen were spending their morning at the local pub relaxing their nerves with guests who were preparing for the wedding.

The ceremony itself took place in the Walled Garden at Wadhurst Castle and with the castle behind them it made the perfect setting. Whilst the guests arrived and as Lizzie and Dan signed the register they had an acoustic guitarist playing music to keep everyone entertained and this was certainly a wedding where everyone smiled all day long.

The wedding reception was held in The Drawing Room which Lizzie and Dan decorated with classic colours and gypsophelia and candles. The table names were all personalised with names of mountains from the skiing trip on which Dan proposed to Lizzie with anecdotes to go with each one - including one where Dan fell on his 'Arcelle'. With speeches by the father of the bride, groom and best man keeping everyone entertained the sheer joy at this wedding kept on flowing. In the evening Lizzie and Dan had thoughtfully placed out a photobooth with lots of props to keep their guests amused whilst we snuck out into the evening sun for some last relaxed pictures of the newly wed Mr and Mrs McMillan.

Here's wishing you a marriage filled with as much joy and laughter as your wedding.
