2020 was a very difficult year for so many people and there was a period where weddings just were not allowed. Even once they were allowed people were cancelling and moving their dates due to the very difficult restrictions. However, Emma and Joe were not going to let anything stop them becoming husband and wife. With only 30 people allowed Emma and Joe made the most of their intimate ceremony surrounding themselves with their nearest and dearest. They married at their local church, Wivelsfield Parish Church and held their reception at South Lodge where they had celebrated their engagement.

The stunning flowers were arranged by Dove & Myrtle and with only four weeks to pull together Emma's altered vision the work was on. The flowers decorated the church and were then moved to South Lodge for the champagne afternoon tea reception.

The beautiful gown worn by Emma was one I knew my wife, Ria, would dream after - it had pockets! The pockets were what made Emma fall in love with it too - a Stella York gown with a custom lace back from Fross Weddings.

Due to restrictions a full traditional evening reception was not possible so after a family meal in the Botanica restaurant Emma and Joe said goodbye to their guests and retired to their bridal suite for champagne in the hot tub as the new Mr and Mrs Black.

Congratulations Emma and Joe.
